Cloudways launches managed AI agents OpenClaw and Hermes
Cloudways, a service of DigitalOcean Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: DOCN), has launched a new product line called Managed AI Agents, beginning with the general availability of two open-source AI agents: OpenClaw and Hermes.
The offering is designed to allow developers, engineers, agencies, and businesses to deploy AI agents through the existing Cloudways platform without having to provision infrastructure, configure containers, or manage security environments separately. Each deployment runs in an isolated environment, and agent runtime updates are validated by Cloudways before rollout.
The product also includes a one-click integration with Cloudways MCP, allowing deployed agents to interact with servers and applications already hosted on the platform.
OpenClaw has accumulated more than 386,000 GitHub stars, while Hermes has more than 228,000, according to the company's statement.
Suhaib Zaheer, SVP Managed Hosting at DigitalOcean and General Manager at Cloudways, said: "The general availability of OpenClaw and Hermes on Cloudways represents an important milestone in our vision of making AI infrastructure simpler and more accessible."
Cloudways said it plans to expand the Managed AI Agents portfolio with additional open-source agents over time. The announcement is based on a press release issued by DigitalOcean Holdings, Inc.
