Red Cat Holdings (Nasdaq: RCAT), through its maritime division Blue Ops, has announced a partnership with Havoc to integrate Havoc's collaborative autonomy software across Blue Ops' uncrewed surface vessel (USV) portfolio, according to a company press release.

The companies plan to integrate Havoc's software and command-and-control capabilities across multiple Blue Ops vessels, including the Variant 7 platform, with the goal of enabling coordinated multi-vessel operations for U.S. and allied defense customers.

The integration is built around Blue Ops' Modular Open Systems Architecture approach, which is designed to support the addition of autonomy, sensors, communications, and payload technologies. Havoc's autonomy technology has previously been deployed in operational contexts for the U.S. Department of Defense.

The two companies also plan to establish operational fleets at Havoc's headquarters in Rhode Island and Blue Ops' headquarters in Florida. These locations are intended to provide defense customers with access to integrated systems for demonstrations, testing, training, and operational evaluation.

"This partnership is exactly what our open-architecture strategy was built for," said Barry Hinckley, President of Blue Ops, adding that the arrangement is intended to accelerate deployment of autonomous maritime capabilities.

Paul Lwin, CEO and Co-Founder of Havoc, said the partnership aligns with the company's strategy of pairing its software with platform manufacturers and that together the companies can give operators the ability to command multiple autonomous vessels while retaining operational flexibility.

As part of the arrangement, Blue Ops and Red Cat plan to introduce Havoc's capabilities to their government and commercial customers, while Havoc intends to market Blue Ops' USV portfolio to its own customer base. The companies also plan to jointly pursue opportunities requiring integrated autonomous maritime systems.
