AE Fuels names Jason Tong as new CFO after prior executive's exit
AE Fuels Corporation (TSXV: AEF) (OTCQB: NRGFF) appointed Jason Tong as Chief Financial Officer, effective August 14, 2026, following the resignation of Jack Cartmel from the role, according to a press release from the Vancouver-based company.
Tong holds Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA) and Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designations and brings more than 15 years of experience working with publicly listed companies on the TSX, TSXV, and Nasdaq exchanges. He previously served as CFO of Pathway Capital Ltd., a venture capital firm managing early-stage companies with market capitalizations ranging from approximately $5 million to $100 million. Earlier in his career, he worked as a senior auditor at Deloitte & Touche LLP.
Alongside the appointment, Catapult Consulting Corp., of which Tong is founder and CEO, will provide accounting and financial reporting services to AE Fuels. Catapult offers CFO, accounting, financial reporting, and corporate advisory services to private and publicly traded companies.
CEO Gary Lewis said: "Jason brings considerable public-company, financial reporting and capital markets experience to AE Fuels. As our activities continue to grow, we want to ensure that our finance and accounting capabilities grow with them."
AE Fuels describes itself as a critical minerals company focused on battery-grade manganese and fluorspar supply chains, with operations tied to sites in Western Australia and New Mexico.
