IceCure Medical Ltd. (NASDAQ: ICCM) highlighted two peer-reviewed publications examining the clinical use of cryoablation in breast cancer treatment, according to a company statement.

The first article, published in Clinical Breast Cancer and authored by Yao, Ward, and Dibble, reviews the evidence for breast cryoablation within broader treatment de-escalation strategies. The review references IceCure's ProSense® system, which holds FDA marketing authorization for use in selected early-stage, low-risk breast cancers in women aged 70 and older. It also cites the system's inclusion in updated American Society of Breast Surgeons guidelines and a 3.1% ipsilateral breast tumor recurrence rate reported at five years in the ICE3 clinical trial.

The second article, published in the Journal of Breast Imaging by Huang et al., addresses cryoablation of axillary lymph node metastases in patients who are poor surgical candidates or decline surgery. The authors state the procedure can be performed with high technical success and low complication rates in both curative and palliative settings.
