Quantum Cyber unveils photonic antenna, publishes technical paper

Quantum Cyber N.V. (Nasdaq: QUCY) announced the unveiling of its Quantum Photonic Antenna and published a technical white paper describing the patent-pending photonic architecture that the company says forms the quantum layer of its autonomous defense platform.

The white paper, titled "The Quantum Photonic Antenna: A New Way to Capture, Organize, and Use Light Across Autonomous and Defense Platforms," outlines an architecture designed to capture infrared, visible, and ultraviolet light across a broader spectrum than conventional single-band receivers. The system organizes that energy into a narrow-phase, narrowband photomagnetic stream on a nanoscale surface and is configurable as a multiphoton transmitter-receiver.

According to the company, the architecture operates as a five-step pipeline — capture, separate, convert, squeeze, and synchronize — and is intended for applications including energy harvesting, optical power beaming, multiphoton communications in contested environments, and multispectral sensing in GPS-degraded conditions.

The technology was invented by Wolf Kohn, Ph.D., Chief Scientist of Project LightShift, Inc. Quantum Cyber holds an exclusive worldwide license from Project LightShift covering unmanned aerial vehicles and drone platforms used in defense and national security applications, under an agreement executed June 11, 2026.

The company states the program is moving from modeled architecture toward a demonstrable prototype module, with near-term milestones including photolithography, component fabrication, spectrum capture testing, and an integrated drone prototype.

Quantum Cyber also referenced its board-approved initiative, disclosed June 26, 2026, to acquire an equity stake in Space Exploration Technologies Corp. ("SpaceX"), citing technological adjacency between the photonic architecture and SpaceX's low-earth-orbit infrastructure. The company noted there is no assurance such adjacency will prove beneficial.
