Oracle (NYSE: ORCL) and Amazon Web Services announced an expanded long-term strategic collaboration agreement on Aug. 13, 2026, aimed at accelerating customer migration to Oracle AI Database@AWS, which is now available in 22 AWS Regions across Asia Pacific, Europe, and the Americas.

As part of the announcement, Oracle made generally available its Exadata Database Service on Exascale Infrastructure on Oracle AI Database@AWS. The service allows customers to specify compute and storage capacity without provisioning dedicated database and storage servers, and includes instant thin cloning for development and testing environments.

Oracle also announced the general availability of Oracle Autonomous AI Database Serverless, which enables fully managed databases without infrastructure provisioning. Additional capabilities include application-to-database round-trip latency as low as 165 microseconds using AWS High Performance Networking, and zero-ETL integration with Amazon Redshift.

CJ Olive Young, a South Korean retailer operating over 1,380 stores, is using the service to migrate core workloads to the cloud. Kobalt Music Group, an independent music publisher, is running its digital royalty collection platform on Oracle Exadata Database Service on Dedicated Infrastructure in AWS. The Metropolitan Transport Authority of Barcelona, which records 1.2 million annual ticket validations, is also using the service for mobility operations.

Global systems integrators including Deloitte and Hitachi are supporting customer adoption. Eligible AWS Partner Network and Oracle Partner Network members can resell Oracle AI Database@AWS through AWS Channel Partner Private Offers.
