Teledyne Marine, a division of Teledyne Technologies Incorporated (NYSE: TDY), participated in Exercise Lanternfish 2026, a multinational AUKUS Pillar 2 exercise focused on seabed warfare capabilities and undersea infrastructure protection.

The exercise ran from June 14 to June 26, 2026, with Teledyne Marine personnel operating at Naval Base Kitsap-Keyport in Washington state alongside the U.K. Royal Navy and Royal Australian Navy. Operations were conducted simultaneously at four U.S. locations: Keyport, Washington; Little Creek, Virginia; Panama City, Florida; and Monterey Bay, California.

Teledyne Marine supported the Royal Navy's Hydrographic Exploitation Group using its Gavia unmanned undersea vehicle (UUV) in a multi-vehicle undersea domain awareness demonstration. The company provided technical expertise and specialized modules, including battery and Acoustic Intelligence (ACINT) modules, during the two-week engagement.

Teams completed UUV surveys and tested the new Teledyne Gavia ACINT module. The Gavia's modular design allowed operators to reconfigure sensor payloads for seabed survey and acoustic intelligence missions.

"The ACINT module experimentation marks real progress toward shared undersea capability across all three nations."

Exercise Lanternfish 2026 is part of the AUKUS Pillar 2 initiative, which aims to advance undersea, autonomous, and sensing capabilities among the United States, United Kingdom, and Australia. According to a statement from Teledyne Marine, the Royal Navy said the exercise strengthened allied efforts to detect, monitor, and respond to threats to critical undersea infrastructure.

Teledyne Marine states that Gavia AUV systems have been purchased by 18 navies, and the company has previously supported allied naval exercises including annual participation in REPMUS in Portugal.
