Moody's Corporation elects Assurant CEO to its board
Moody's Corporation (NYSE: MCO) has elected Keith Demmings to its board of directors, effective November 1, 2026, according to a company press release.
Demmings, 54, currently serves as president and chief executive officer of Assurant, Inc., a publicly traded provider of protection products for connected devices, homes, automobiles, and commercial equipment. He has held that role since January 2022 and has served on Assurant's board of directors since the same time.
Before becoming CEO, Demmings served as president of Assurant from 2021 to 2022. Prior to that, he held several executive roles at the company, including executive vice president and president of Global Lifestyle from 2016 to 2021, executive vice president and president of Global Markets from 2015 to 2016, and executive vice president and president of International from 2013 to 2015.
Demmings joined the predecessor to Assurant in 1997 and has since held leadership roles across operations in North America, Asia, Europe, and Latin America. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Victoria.
Vincent Forlenza, chairman of Moody's Corporation, said in the statement: "Keith's proven leadership, global operating experience and deep insurance expertise will be a tremendous asset to the Board."
