Red Cat Holdings, Inc. (Nasdaq: RCAT) announced the promotion of Mitch McDonald to Divisional Chief Executive Officer of its unmanned aircraft systems operations, effective immediately, according to a company statement.

In his new role, McDonald will oversee both Teal Drones, based in Salt Lake City, Utah, and FlightWave Aerospace, based in Torrance, California, bringing the two subsidiaries under a single leadership structure.

McDonald previously served as President of Teal Drones, where he managed manufacturing growth and facility expansion. His background includes advanced manufacturing, aerospace and defense operations, engineering leadership, and supply-chain strategy.

Chris Ericson, Chief Operating Officer of Red Cat, attributed the promotion to McDonald's operational record. "Bringing Teal and FlightWave together under Mitch's leadership will strengthen coordination across our UAS business and position us to execute more efficiently as we enter our next phase of growth," Ericson said.

Teal Drones develops small unmanned aerial systems for defense missions, including its Black Widow, Hellcat, and FANG platforms. FlightWave Aerospace produces longer-range, fixed-wing vertical takeoff and landing systems.

McDonald's responsibilities in the new role will include operational integration and manufacturing scale across Red Cat's UAS platforms.
