Redwire Corporation (NYSE: RDW) has signed a teaming agreement with Japan's Kanematsu Corporation to support business development in Japan's space sector, the companies announced in a press release.

Under the agreement, Kanematsu will serve as Redwire's strategic commercial partner in Japan, covering both private and public sector space infrastructure offerings. The partnership will focus on power generation systems, microgravity payloads, and robotics technology.

The agreement was signed on July 8, 2026, at Kanematsu's headquarters during the annual SPACETIDE event in Japan.

Mike Gold, President of Redwire Space, said the partnership aims to "advance innovative space technologies to further bolster Japanese capabilities for a wide variety of commercial, scientific, and national security applications."

Ryoichi Kidokoro, COO of Motor Vehicles & Aerospace at Kanematsu Corporation, said the collaboration would combine Redwire's technologies with Kanematsu's "deep market expertise and commercial network" to serve public and private customers in Japan.

Redwire employs approximately 1,400 people across North America and Europe.
