Polar Power reports $7.9M in Pacific Islands revenue since 2024

Polar Power, Inc. (NASDAQ: POLA) disclosed that it has generated approximately $7.9 million in revenue from the Pacific Islands since 2024, shipping 333 DC generators and solar-hybrid systems across Papua New Guinea, Fiji, Vanuatu, the Solomon Islands, and Guam, according to a company statement.

The Gardena, Calif.-based manufacturer also reported a current solar-hybrid backlog of approximately $670,000 in the Solomon Islands, following a repeat order from a regional telecommunications customer.

"We've now shipped 333 systems and generated $7.9 million of revenue across five Pacific markets, and the reorders tell us the technology is proving itself where it matters most — in the field," said Arthur D. Sams, President and Chief Executive Officer of Polar Power.

The company said repeat orders from telecom operators signal field-proven reliability, as carriers typically place reorders only after a system has demonstrated performance and operating-cost savings. Polar Power described its business model as a progression from initial field trial to full deployment to higher-volume standardized orders.

Sams noted the deployments are generating demand in adjacent applications, including microgrids, water pumping, cooling, and electric-vehicle charging, which the company believes collectively represent a larger market than telecommunications.

Polar Power's systems use DC generators that connect directly to battery storage, which the company says eliminates AC-to-DC conversion losses. Variable-speed engines and rare-earth permanent-magnet alternators are cited as reducing fuel consumption, a factor the company highlights as relevant where fuel transportation to remote sites carries high costs.

The company's forward-looking statements carry risk disclosures noting substantial doubt about its ability to continue as a going concern, limited cash and liquidity, and potential Nasdaq delisting risk, among other factors outlined in its most recent annual and quarterly filings.
