Regions Financial names new leadership as Dave Keenan to retire
Regions Financial Corp. (NYSE: RF) announced that Chief Administrative Officer Dave Keenan will retire at the end of 2026 after more than two decades with the company, triggering a series of executive leadership changes.
Kate Danella, currently head of Consumer Banking, will succeed Keenan as Chief Administrative Officer. In her new role, she will oversee strategic planning, digital banking, core platform modernization, corporate marketing, and customer advocacy, among other functions. Danella joined Regions Bank in 2015 and was elevated to lead Consumer Banking in 2022.
John Jordan will succeed Danella as head of Consumer Banking. Jordan joined Regions in 2024 as head of Retail after more than 20 years at Bank of America, where he held senior roles in retail banking, strategy, and client experience.
Chief People Officer Angela Santone, who joined Regions in 2025 with more than two decades of human resources experience from Turner Broadcasting System and AT&T, will begin reporting directly to Chairman, President, and CEO John Turner.
Danella, Jordan, and Santone will begin transitioning into their new roles immediately. Keenan will move into a leadership advisory role starting Sept. 1 and will remain with the company through year-end to support the transition.
"Dave's leadership has strengthened every part of Regions Bank, and his commitment to developing future leaders positions us well for continued growth," Turner said in a statement.
Regions Financial, with $161 billion in assets, operates more than 1,200 banking offices across the South, Midwest, and Texas.
