Comstock Inc. (NYSE: LODE) announced that its subsidiary Comstock Metals LLC has fully integrated and tested its solar panel recycling facility in Silver Springs, Nevada, completing what the company described as the final major milestone in equipment commissioning.

The facility, designed to process up to 100,000 tons of end-of-life solar panels per year, has now run panels through every stage of its production system, including shredding, conditioning, and proprietary separation processes. Glass-upgrading systems were also installed and tested ahead of the original schedule, according to the company's statement.

Comstock Metals is transitioning from a 24-hour, five-day-per-week operating schedule to a 24/7 schedule using 12-hour rotating shifts. The company said full integration is expected to be completed in mid-August 2026.

"We are now ready to finalize integration activities and the start of operations," said Corrado De Gasperis, CEO of Comstock. "We anticipate reaching our first production milestone in September."

That first milestone is defined as continuously operating at 25% of rated capacity, according to Dr. Fortunato Villamagna, President of Comstock Metals.

Villamagna also noted progress on a separate metals recovery effort, stating that proprietary extraction technologies are being developed to recover silver and other metals from the facility's industrial offcut stream. The company said this work is on schedule toward building a one-ton-per-day pilot system.
