Investing.com - Boeing Co. (NYSE: BA) received a $109 million contract from the U.S. Department of War to produce outer wing panels for F/A-18 aircraft, the Naval Supply Systems Command Weapon Systems Support announced Monday.

The St. Louis-based aerospace company will manufacture 76 outer wing panels under the ceiling-price delivery order N00383-26-F-YY29, which falls under a basic ordering agreement awarded in 2022. The contract was awarded as a sole-source requirement under 10 U.S. Code 3204 (a)(1), with Boeing submitting the only offer received.

Work will be performed in St. Louis, Missouri, accounting for 90% of the effort, and Hazelwood, Missouri, representing 10%. The Navy expects completion by October 2031.

The Department of War will obligate $53.4 million in fiscal 2026 Navy working capital funds at the time of award, representing 49% of the total contract value. These funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.

An additional $55.6 million remains committed to fund the ceiling-priced delivery order. Naval Supply Systems Command Weapon Systems Support in Philadelphia serves as the contracting activity.
