Radian Group Inc. (NYSE: RDN) has appointed Barry C. McCarthy to its board of directors, the company announced in a press release.

McCarthy, 62, serves as president and chief executive officer of Deluxe Corporation, a NYSE-listed Fortune 1000 company, where he has worked since 2018. He has held senior leadership roles at First Data, Wells Fargo, and VeriSign, and holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.

Radian Non-Executive Board Chairperson Howard B. Culang said in the release that McCarthy "brings a rare combination of public company leadership, transformation experience and deep expertise across financial services, payments, data and technology."

McCarthy said he is "honored to join the Board at this important point in the company's evolution."
