Investing.com -- U.S. President Donald Trump said Monday that he spoke with Federal Reserve Chairman Kevin Warsh a few days ago.

Trump told reporters at the White House that he has only spoken to Warsh once briefly. "Just a conversation," Trump said.

Trump added that Warsh will run the Federal Reserve and noted that the Fed chair must work with a board of governors. "He's going to run it. I know what he'd like to do, but he has to run it. He's got a board. It's not only him. If it was up to him it would be different, but he's got a board," Trump said.
