Q2 Metals names sustainability VP and reports $2.6M in warrant proceeds

Q2 Metals Corp. (TSX-V: QTWO | OTCQB: QUEXF) has appointed Geneviève Morinville as Vice President – Sustainability and Regulatory Affairs, according to a company statement. She will oversee environmental and social baseline programs, impact assessment processes, and the company's sustainability strategy as it advances the Cisco Lithium Project in the Eeyou Istchee James Bay region of Quebec.



Morinville holds a Ph.D. in Fisheries and Aquatic Ecology and a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Environmental Studies, both from McGill University. The company says she brings more than 20 years of experience in environmental, social, and governance matters within Canada's mining sector, including prior work in the Eeyou Istchee James Bay region.



"Geneviève's extensive experience leading permitting, environmental assessment and sustainable development initiatives will be invaluable as we advance the Cisco Lithium Project through its next stages of development," said Alicia Milne, Q2 Metals President and CEO.



In a separate disclosure, Q2 Metals reported that 5,113,557 warrants, issued in connection with a private placement on August 9, 2024, were exercised at $0.50 per share, generating total proceeds of $2,556,778. As of August 10, 2026, the company has 1,429,000 warrants outstanding: 780,000 at C$0.90 expiring August 14, 2028, and 649,000 at C$2.45 expiring May 26, 2029.



The Cisco Lithium Project currently holds a combined inferred mineral resource of 295 million tonnes grading 1.36% Li2O. Q2 Metals states its 2026 exploration program is ongoing, with a focus on infill drilling to advance the resource toward an indicated classification.
