Unity Bancorp announces death of founding board member Robert Dallas
Unity Bancorp, Inc. (NASDAQ: UNTY) announced the passing of Robert "Bobby" H. Dallas II, a founding member of Unity Bank and a member of the company's board of directors since its inception.
Dallas was the brother of board Chairman David D. Dallas and served on the board for more than three decades. According to a company statement, he was involved in the bank's development from its founding through its growth as an independent banking institution in New Jersey.
Chief Executive Officer James A. Hughes said in a statement: "For more than three decades, Bobby helped shape Unity's culture, values, and long-term success. He was a respected colleague, trusted advisor, and dear friend whose integrity, humility, and commitment to doing what was right earned the admiration of everyone who worked alongside him."
Unity Bancorp is headquartered in Clinton, New Jersey, and reported approximately $3.2 billion in assets and $2.5 billion in deposits. Its subsidiary, Unity Bank, operates branches across eight counties in New Jersey and one county in Pennsylvania.
