Levi Strauss reports cybersecurity breach affecting corporate data
Levi Strauss & Co. disclosed a cybersecurity incident in which an unauthorized third party gained access to files through social engineering techniques that compromised three employees' company-issued computers.
According to a filing by the company, preliminary findings indicate that certain corporate information was accessed and exfiltrated. The company stated that no consumer data was impacted and that business operations were not interrupted.
Levi Strauss said it has initiated response protocols, implemented containment measures, and engaged third-party cybersecurity experts. The company believes its response efforts successfully contained and terminated the unauthorized access.
The company stated it does not believe the incident has had, or is reasonably likely to have, a material impact on its business strategy, operations, financial condition, or results of operations.
Levi Strauss said it has provided and will continue to provide notifications to affected parties and applicable regulators in accordance with applicable law. The investigation remains ongoing.
