Sonoma Pharmaceuticals posts 60% revenue rise, first positive EBITDA

Sonoma Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (NASDAQ: SNOA) reported total revenues of $6.4 million for its fiscal first quarter ended June 30, 2026, a 60% increase from $4.0 million in the same period a year earlier, according to a company press release.

U.S. revenue rose 141%, or $1.4 million, driven by over-the-counter product sales and growth from new and existing distributors. European revenue increased 34%, or $0.5 million, attributed to higher demand and favorable exchange rates.

Gross profit reached $2.6 million, or 40% of revenue, compared to $1.5 million, or 36%, in the prior-year quarter. Total operating expenses were $2.6 million in both periods. The company reported a net loss of $330,000, down from a net loss of $1.2 million a year earlier. Net loss per share was $0.09, compared to $0.76 in the prior-year quarter.

On a non-GAAP basis, the company reported an adjusted EBITDA gain of $50,000 for the quarter, compared to an adjusted EBITDA loss of $1.0 million in the same period last year. The company described this as its first positive adjusted EBITDA result.

Cash and cash equivalents stood at $5.3 million as of June 30, 2026, up from $2.4 million as of March 31, 2026.

In June 2026, Sonoma received a 510(k) clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for its Microdacyn Wound Irrigation Solution, covering expanded claims, multiple-use clearance, and additional packaging configurations. The company also added new distributors in Taiwan, Vietnam, and the United States since the start of fiscal year 2027.
