MarketWise, Inc. (NASDAQ: MKTW), a digital subscription services company focused on financial research and tools for self-directed investors, reported second quarter 2026 billings of $91.2 million, a 57% increase compared to the same period in 2025, according to a company press release.

Total net revenue for the quarter was $75.8 million, down 5.2% from $80.0 million in Q2 2025. The company reported a net loss of $2.6 million for the quarter, compared to net income of $15.3 million in Q2 2025. The company attributed the loss primarily to timing differences in deferred revenue recognition and increased sales and marketing costs.

Cash from operating activities was $22.4 million in Q2 2026, up 25.7% from $17.8 million in Q2 2025. Cash and cash equivalents stood at $33 million as of June 30, 2026, down from $53 million at March 31, 2026. The decline was partly due to a $12.2 million cash disbursement in April 2026 related to a previously disclosed legal settlement, which also resulted in the repurchase of 3% of total shares outstanding.

Paid subscribers totaled 400,000 as of June 30, 2026, up from 381,000 at March 31, 2026. Active free subscribers were 2.1 million at quarter end.

The company raised its full-year 2026 billings guidance by 10% to $330 million, which would represent a 21.7% increase from fiscal year 2025. MarketWise also maintained its full-year cash from operating activities target of approximately $50 million and its annual dividend target of $1.80 per Class A share. Dividends paid to Class A shareholders in Q2 2026 were $0.45 per share.

For the six months ended June 30, 2026, total billings were $172.5 million, up 34.1% from $128.6 million in the same period of 2025. Total net revenue for the first half was $152.8 million, compared to $163.5 million a year earlier.
