Freshworks gains FedRAMP "In Process" status for Freshservice

August 6, 2026 8:15 AM

Freshworks Inc. (NASDAQ: FRSH) announced that its Freshservice platform has received FedRAMP "In Process" designation for Class C (Moderate) certification, a step toward full authorization for use by U.S. federal government agencies, according to a company statement.

Freshservice is now listed on the FedRAMP Marketplace. Freshworks has engaged Coalfire, a FedRAMP compliance assessment firm, to guide the authorization process.

The platform's FedRAMP environment will be built on AWS GovCloud (US). Upon achieving full FedRAMP Class C (Moderate) certification, Freshservice would become available to federal agencies as well as state, local, and education organizations that require formal cloud security authorization for technology procurement.

"Government agencies need access to the same modern, AI-powered service management that is transforming how leading organizations operate," said Murali Swaminathan, Chief Technology Officer at Freshworks. "Pursuing FedRAMP authorization is a critical step toward delivering that capability at federal scale, and we believe today's In Process designation reflects real progress in that direction."

Karen Laughton, Executive Vice President at Coalfire, commented on the milestone: "Reaching this milestone requires exceptional focus, coordination, and commitment across the organization. We're proud to support Freshworks on its FedRAMP journey."

FedRAMP "In Process" status indicates that an agency sponsor has agreed to work with a cloud service provider toward full authorization, but does not constitute completed certification.
