Investing.com -- Investment firm Aurelius has entered exclusive discussions to acquire Hain Daniels, the European division of US-based Hain Celestial, according to a Sky News report Wednesday citing sources familiar with the matter.

Hain Daniels owns several consumer brands including Ella's Kitchen infant food, the vegan brand Linda McCartney's, New Covent Garden soups, and Hartley's jam. The company's portfolio also includes Sun-Pat peanut butter, Robertson's marmalade, Yorkshire Provender, and Natumi dairy-free milk.

Aurelius, which currently owns Footasylum, emerged as the leading bidder after competing with other interested parties. London-listed Princes Foods was among the companies that explored potential offers for the business, the report said.

No final agreement has been reached and the transaction could still collapse.

Hain Celestial appointed bankers earlier in 2026 to sell its European operations following a sharp decline in its stock price. The company's New York-listed shares have dropped more than two-thirds over the past year, resulting in a market value below $50 million.

Following the report, Hain shares traded 5% higher.
