August 5, 2026 1:00 PM

MoneyPass Group began operating as an independent company following the close of a joint venture between Bridgeport Partners and Fiserv, Inc. (NASDAQ: FISV), according to a press release dated Aug. 5, 2026.

The new company combines Fiserv's MoneyPass Network, ATM Managed Services and Cash Intelligence businesses. It operates a surcharge-free ATM network spanning more than 37,000 locations and serves more than 160 million cardholders across the United States.

Bridgeport Partners holds a 51% controlling ownership stake in MoneyPass Group, with Fiserv retaining a 49% stake. MoneyPass Group and Fiserv have also entered into long-term commercial agreements to provide continuity of service for existing clients.

Erik Wichita, who spent 30 years at Fiserv, serves as chief executive officer of the new company. Don Layden, executive partner at Bridgeport Partners, serves as executive chairman.

"Today MoneyPass Group stands on its own, with the scale of a market leader, the focus of an independent company and the support of both Bridgeport Partners and Fiserv," Wichita said.

MoneyPass Group provides ATM and cash management services to financial institutions, fintechs, ATM operators and merchants. Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP served as legal counsel to Bridgeport Partners, while Foley & Lardner LLP advised Fiserv. Capital One, N.A. provided debt financing for the transaction, and FTI Consulting provided carve-out advisory services.
