Investing.com -- Novo Nordisk announced on Wednesday that a district court in the Netherlands granted the company a preliminary injunction against Ceban Ziekenhuisfarmacie in a patent infringement case related to a compounded semaglutide nasal spray.

Semaglutide serves as the active ingredient in Novo Nordisk's weight-loss drug Wegovy.

The Danish drugmaker said the court determined that Ceban violated Novo Nordisk's supplementary protection certificate covering semaglutide.

The court ordered the Dutch company to stop the infringing activities, remove product listings, disclose supply chain information, and reimburse Novo Nordisk's legal costs.
