ConnectWise and SentinelOne outline cybersecurity strategy for MSPs

August 4, 2026 4:00 PM

ConnectWise and SentinelOne (NYSE: S) announced a shared strategy at Black Hat 2026 to expand managed cybersecurity capabilities for managed service providers (MSPs), according to a press release from the companies.

The strategy builds on an existing collaboration through ConnectWise Managed EDR with SentinelOne, which combines SentinelOne's Singularity Platform with monitoring from the ConnectWise Security Operations Center. The arrangement allows MSPs to offer endpoint detection and response services without independently building or staffing a security operations center.

The two companies said the framework is intended to integrate SentinelOne's AI-driven security capabilities with ConnectWise's managed security services and operational workflow tools. The stated focus includes autonomous threat detection, investigation, and response, while keeping human analysts in an oversight role.

"MSPs are being asked to protect more customers, manage greater complexity and respond to threats that move faster than traditional operating models can support," said Manny Rivelo, CEO of ConnectWise. "By aligning our strategies, we can bring forward meaningful capabilities in the right sequence, with clear and practical value for partners at each step."

Michael Cremen, President and Chief Revenue Officer of SentinelOne, said the collaboration reflects "a shared commitment to helping MSPs use advanced security technology effectively and at scale."

The companies outlined several principles guiding the strategy, including making security intelligence easier to operationalize across MSP environments, applying AI and automation for faster response, and maintaining human oversight. Both companies said they will continue to support open ecosystems and partner choice.

New capabilities are planned to be introduced through what the companies described as partner-ready milestones over coming quarters. SentinelOne exhibited at Booth 2933 at Black Hat 2026, where ConnectWise delivered a presentation.
