Enphase Energy (NASDAQ: ENPH), based in Fremont, California, announced it manufactures IQ Microinverters and IQ Batteries at facilities in South Carolina and Texas, and expects to produce its IQ Solid-State Transformer (IQ SST) platform for AI data centers in the United States as well.

The IQ SST is a GaN-based platform designed to convert medium-voltage AC power directly to the 800V DC power required by AI compute systems. At approximately 4 kW per power module, a 1 GW AI data center could require roughly 250,000 IQ SST modules, according to the company. Enphase also expects to manufacture power electronics for its upcoming DC-based IQ Bidirectional EV Charger in the United States.

For residential and commercial applications, Enphase offers U.S.-produced products with a "DOM" suffix, which the company says can help eligible projects qualify for domestic content bonus tax credits. Select IQ Microinverters meet Buy American Act and Build America, Buy America standards, and certain products may be deemed FEOC compliant under IRS Notice 2025-08 for rooftop solar and distributed battery energy storage systems.

Enphase said it has shipped approximately 89.4 million microinverters cumulatively, including approximately 5.5 million from U.S. facilities in 2025.

"Manufacturing these systems in the United States strengthens energy security, supply chain resilience, and the trusted infrastructure the country increasingly depends on."

The company stated its U.S. manufacturing expansion does not affect its commitment to customers in Europe, Australia, India, and other international markets, where it will continue developing region-specific products. Enphase serves customers in more than 165 countries.
