August 4, 2026 7:04 AM

DISA Technologies, Inc. announced the formation of DISA Uranium Corporation, a new company focused on uranium recovery, production, and remediation of legacy uranium mine sites in the United States, according to a press release dated Aug. 4, 2026.

DISA Uranium has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire IsoEnergy Ltd.'s (NYSE American: ISOU) Utah uranium portfolio, which includes the Tony M Mine, Daneros Mine, Rim Mine, Sage Plain Project, and Flatiron Project. Upon closing, IsoEnergy will hold approximately 33% of DISA Uranium and will receive board representation. IsoEnergy has also committed $33 million into the financing.

The company has received commitments for a $105 million private placement financing from investors including Tembo Capital, BHP Ventures, Galvanize Climate Solutions, Valor Equity Partners, Evok Innovations, Halliburton Labs, and Veriten. The transaction is expected to close in August 2026, at which point the company's implied pro forma equity value is expected to be approximately $505 million.

DISA Uranium claims to hold the only U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission license authorizing remediation and recovery of abandoned uranium mine waste across multiple sites. The company also holds exclusive rights to DISA's patented high-pressure slurry ablation technology, known as HPSA, for uranium and vanadium applications. Preliminary testing at the Tony M Mine showed the technology could reduce feedstock mass to approximately 22% of its original volume while recovering approximately 88% of the uranium.

The company also stated plans to develop what it describes as the first new U.S. uranium recovery and processing facility in more than four decades. The project is currently in the design phase, with site evaluation underway.

DISA Uranium will be headquartered in Casper, Wyoming, with Greyson Buckingham serving as President and Chief Executive Officer. Concurrently, DISA Technologies' broader mineral processing operations will be spun off into a separate entity called DISA Tech, Inc.
