August 4, 2026 6:02 AM

ChargePoint (NYSE: CHPT) announced an extended partnership with Mercedes-Benz to provide charging solutions for fleet operators in the United Kingdom and Germany, according to a press release from the Campbell, California-based company.

The agreement gives Mercedes-Benz business customers access to ChargePoint's site assessment, infrastructure planning, installation, and ongoing support services. The offering covers charging for company car drivers operating passenger cars as well as light- and medium-duty vans.

ChargePoint's hardware includes AC and DC charging equipment paired with energy management software. Features available under the partnership include intelligent load management, automated energy reporting, cost analysis, and optional integration with solar photovoltaic systems and battery energy storage.

"We are now taking our partnership to a new level," said Rick Wilmer, CEO of ChargePoint. "By combining our proven expertise with our partner's leadership in high-end electric vehicles, ChargePoint and Mercedes-Benz are delivering a seamless, comprehensive experience that helps business customers lower the total cost of ownership with charging infrastructure that meets operational requirements."

Nico Dettmer, Global Head of Mercedes-Benz Charging Solutions at Mercedes-Benz AG, said the workplace charging offering addresses a gap in the charging ecosystem for fleet customers, complementing home and public charging options.

The two companies stated plans to expand the partnership to additional markets beyond the UK and Germany later this year.
