Ondas Inc. (Nasdaq: ONDS) announced that David Barnea, former director of Israel's Mossad intelligence agency, has joined Ondas Defense Ltd. as Global President and Chairman.

Barnea served as Mossad Director from 2021 to 2026, completing his five-year term in June 2026. Before leading the Mossad, he served in the Israel Defense Forces' Sayeret Matkal special operations unit and later worked in mergers and acquisitions at an Israeli investment bank before entering public service in 1995. He holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from the New York Institute of Technology and an MBA in finance from Pace University.

In his new role, Barnea will work alongside Chairman and CEO Eric Brock and Oshri Lugassy, Co-CEO of Ondas Autonomous Systems. His responsibilities will include supporting international strategy, evaluating potential technology acquisitions, and coordinating development across Ondas' portfolio of defense technology businesses spanning aerial security, intelligence surveillance and reconnaissance, precision strike, and autonomous ground systems.

"David brings an extraordinary combination of current operational experience, strategic judgment, technology leadership and global relationships," said Brock.

"Ondas has assembled a distinctive group of technologies, companies and experienced teams across several of the most important areas of modern defense," Barnea said in a statement. "The opportunity now is to bring those capabilities together, establish a focused operational and technological strategy, and build an integrated platform."

The company noted that Barnea's position is a private-sector role separate from his former public service, and that Ondas has no relationship with the Mossad. Barnea will not use or disclose classified or restricted government information in his role.

The announcement follows Ondas reporting more than $70 million in new orders secured over a four-week period across unmanned ground systems, border security, counter-UAS, and autonomous precision-strike technologies, according to the company's press release.
