Medicus Pharma Ltd. (NASDAQ: MDCX) announced the appointment of Faisal Mehmud, MD, MRCP, as Chief Executive Officer of Antev Limited, its United Kingdom subsidiary, effective August 30, 2026.

Dr. Mehmud will retain his role as Chief Medical Officer of Medicus and Co-Chairman of Antev's Board of Directors. He succeeds Amit Kohli, who had served as interim CEO of Antev since Medicus completed its acquisition of the company on August 29, 2025. Kohli remained with the company for one year to support the transition of operations, development programs and stakeholder relationships.

Dr. Mehmud holds a medical degree from the University of Cambridge and completed postgraduate training in Internal Medicine in the United Kingdom. He holds qualifications in Internal Medicine and Pharmaceutical Medicine from the Royal College of Physicians (UK) and is licensed by the UK General Medical Council. He has previously held senior global leadership positions at Pfizer, GSK, Bristol Myers Squibb, Novartis and Sanofi.

Antev is developing Teverelix®, described as a next-generation GnRH antagonist, across multiple indications including advanced prostate cancer, acute urinary retention associated with benign prostatic hyperplasia and endometriosis.
