Wayfair plans Pittsburgh store set to open in 2027

August 3, 2026 7:01 AM

Wayfair Inc. (NYSE: W) announced plans to open a store in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, its first location in the state, according to a press release from the company.

The 95,000-square-foot, single-level store will be located at North Hills Village, a shopping center outside of downtown Pittsburgh, and is expected to open in 2027. The store will include an on-site design studio staffed by consultants and will carry products organized by room and style. Some items will be available for same-day take-home, while larger purchases can be delivered within two days.

Liza Lefkowski, vice president of merchandising and stores at Wayfair, cited Pittsburgh's "strong community roots and distinct architectural character" as factors in the location decision.

The Pittsburgh store would add to Wayfair's existing physical retail presence in Wilmette, IL, Atlanta, GA, and Columbus, OH. The company also has stores planned for Denver, CO; Westchester, NY; Fort Lauderdale, FL; Cincinnati, OH; and Princeton, NJ.

The property is managed by J.J. Gumberg Co., whose CEO Fred Reitano said the company is "proud of the professional partnership" developed with Wayfair to bring the store to Pittsburgh.
