KKR closes $19.2 billion infrastructure fund, its largest to date
KKR (NYSE: KKR) has completed the final closing of KKR Global Infrastructure Investors V, a $19.2 billion Core+ fund focused on critical infrastructure assets and businesses primarily in North America and Western Europe, according to a press release from the firm.
The fund, the fifth in KKR's Global Infrastructure Strategy, is the largest infrastructure fund the firm claims to have raised. It contributes to approximately $45 billion raised across KKR's latest infrastructure vehicle vintages globally, a figure that reflects total capital committed to drawdown funds in their investment period as of June 30, 2026, plus perpetual vehicles over the last twelve months.
The fund has already committed over $9 billion across a number of investments, including Altitude III, EDF Power Solutions North America, Enilive, FiberCop, Global Technical Realty, Gulf Data Hub, Metronet, Sempra Infrastructure, and The Parking Spot.
KKR's infrastructure business currently manages approximately $120 billion in infrastructure equity, up from $13 billion in 2019. The firm states it has completed more than 100 infrastructure investments since launching the business in 2008 and employs approximately 160 dedicated infrastructure executives globally.
The fund drew support from pension plans, sovereign wealth funds, insurance companies, asset managers, private wealth platforms, and family offices. Debevoise & Plimpton LLP served as primary fund counsel for the fundraise.
