Tutor Perini unit wins $69.5M Death Valley water project

Tutor Perini Corporation (NYSE: TPC) announced that its subsidiary, Perini Management Services, Inc., has been awarded a $69.5 million contract by the National Park Service to rehabilitate water and wastewater treatment systems at Death Valley National Park in California.

The project covers the Furnace Creek and Cow Creek areas of the park, which serve approximately 1.7 million annual visitors, 1,100 residents, and the Timbisha Shoshone Tribe. Work includes replacing sewer gravity and force mains, service laterals, and pump stations, as well as installing new water distribution systems, developing new potable water wells, and reconstructing a reverse osmosis treatment building, chlorination building, and control systems. The project also includes repairs to a lagoon to increase its capacity.

Work is expected to begin in the fall of 2026, with substantial completion anticipated in early 2029. The contract value will be added to the company's backlog in the third quarter of 2026.
