nVent leases 160,000 sq ft facility to expand liquid cooling output
nVent Electric plc (NYSE: NVT) announced it has signed a lease for a 160,000 square-foot manufacturing facility at a second location in Blaine, Minnesota, to expand production of data center liquid cooling solutions.
The new site is expected to begin production in the first half of 2027 and is projected to employ more than 200 people. According to the company's press release, this is nVent's third liquid cooling manufacturing expansion in three years, bringing the total new space added across all three expansions to more than 400,000 square feet.
"Expanding our data center capacity reflects the growing need for liquid cooling solutions and the strength of customer demand," said Sara Zawoyski, President of nVent Systems Protection.
nVent, which is headquartered in London with its management office in Minneapolis, states it has deployed more than two gigawatts of liquid cooling to date. The company said it works with cloud service providers, data center operators, chip manufacturers, and hyperscalers on cooling solutions for AI and high-performance computing environments.
