Robo.ai Inc. (NASDAQ: AIIO) has appointed Dr. Jasem Ibrahim Mansour Al-Mansory as Chief Executive Officer of Alif Holding, a proposed Abu Dhabi-based subsidiary focused on AI industrial systems, effective immediately, according to a press release.

Dr. Al-Mansory spent more than three decades with the UAE Ministry of Interior, retiring at the rank of Brigadier. He most recently served as Deputy Inspector General and Acting Director General. He holds a PhD in Human Resource Management from the University of Southampton, a Master's in Police Sciences and a Bachelor's in Business Administration from Ajman University, along with professional qualifications in digital transformation and artificial intelligence.

The appointment follows the previously announced selection of H.E. Dr. Ahmed Naser Al-Raisi, former President of Interpol, as Chairman of Alif Holding. The company said the two appointments complete the subsidiary's core leadership structure.

Alif Holding is described as a proposed group intended to operate two platforms — intelligent software and intelligent equipment — with plans to develop, integrate and manufacture AI systems in the UAE for sectors including energy, oil and gas, ports, public safety, utilities, mining, transportation, smart cities and critical infrastructure. The subsidiary has not yet been formally established.

"My immediate priorities are to build a management team rooted in the UAE, to establish sound operating and governance systems, and to translate the Group's technology and manufacturing capabilities into deliverable outcomes," Dr. Al-Mansory said.

Robo.ai said building a local senior management team is a stated principle for the group, with both its Chairman and CEO being UAE nationals.
