Hyperfine, Inc. (Nasdaq: HYPR) announced the release of multiple peer-reviewed publications in the Journal of Neurosurgery and Stroke supporting clinical use of its Swoop portable MRI system in neurosurgical and stroke care settings, according to a company press release.

The July 2026 issue of the Journal of Neurosurgery featured cases from an ambulatory neurosurgery center where the Swoop system was used to image patients immediately following endovascular neurosurgical procedures. The imaging helped confirm the absence of findings such as acute ischemic or intracranial hemorrhage, enabling same-day patient discharge.

Stroke published a collection of articles examining low-field MRI across stroke care settings, including pre-hospital stroke care, acute stroke, neurocritical care, and cerebral small vessel disease. The articles review existing data, present new evidence, and offer guidance on implementation.

"The cases published in the Journal of Neurosurgery provide early evidence that immediate access to on-site imaging can inform post-procedural decision-making and help avoid unnecessary delays or hospital admissions," said Edmond Knopp, MD, Hyperfine Chief Medical Officer.

Hyperfine states the Swoop system is now supported by more than 180 peer-reviewed publications and editorials and over 280 scientific presentations across multiple care settings. The system holds FDA clearance for brain imaging of patients of all ages.
