INmune Bio Inc. (NASDAQ: INMB) announced the formation of a Scientific Advisory Board to support the late-stage development of its CORDStrom mesenchymal stromal cell platform, according to a company statement.

The board will advise on regulatory and clinical development of Ebstrocel, the company's cell therapy candidate for recessive dystrophic epidermolysis bullosa, a rare genetic skin condition. It will also guide potential expansion of the CORDStrom platform into additional disease areas, including osteoarthritis, pulmonary disease and oncology.

The advisory board will be chaired by Professor Mark Lowdell, Ph.D., INmune Bio's Chief Scientific Officer and Co-Founder. Its four inaugural members are Katarina Le Blanc, M.D., Ph.D., of Karolinska Institutet; Anna Martinez, MBBS, a consultant pediatric dermatologist at Great Ormond Street Hospital and Clinical Lead of the UK National Epidermolysis Bullosa Service; Sowmya Viswanathan, Ph.D., of the University Health Network and University of Toronto; and Daniel J. Weiss, M.D., Ph.D., of the University of Vermont and President of the International Society for Cell & Gene Therapy.

The board's stated responsibilities include advising on Phase 3 trial design, patient selection, manufacturing consistency, potency assays and the evaluation of additional indications for the CORDStrom platform.

INmune Bio has said it plans to file a Marketing Authorization Application with the UK Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency in 2026 and with the European Medicines Agency in 2027. A U.S. Biologics License Application submission is planned for early 2027. None of the company's product candidates have received regulatory approval.
