Rocket Lab signs third multi-launch deal with iQPS in under a year
Rocket Lab Corporation (NASDAQ: RKLB) has signed a contract with Institute for Q-shu Pioneers of Space, Inc. (iQPS) for three dedicated Electron rocket launches, the company announced July 30, 2026.
The agreement marks the third multi-launch booking with iQPS in less than a year, bringing the total number of Electron launches booked by the Japanese satellite operator to 18.
The three missions are scheduled to launch from Rocket Lab Launch Complex 1 beginning in late 2027. Each launch will deploy a single QPS-SAR synthetic aperture radar satellite to a 575km low Earth orbit as part of iQPS' Earth-imaging constellation. Rocket Lab's Motorized Lightband satellite separation system has also been purchased for all iQPS missions under the contract.
According to the press release, Rocket Lab has deployed seven QPS-SAR satellites for iQPS with a stated 100% mission success rate since 2023. iQPS is described as using Rocket Lab as its primary launch provider.
