Trillion Energy International Inc. (CSE: TCF) (OTCQB: TRLEF) (FSE: Z62) announced it will change its name to Dune Oil Corp., effective August 4, 2026, with its trading symbol on the Canadian Securities Exchange changing to "DUNE."

The company said the name change reflects a strategic shift toward oil development and exploration. The new CUSIP number for common shares will be 265342105 and the new ISIN will be CA2653421057. The company said shareholder rights will not be affected, no capital consolidation will occur, and existing share certificates will remain valid.

The company also disclosed the closing of another tranche of its previously announced non-brokered private placement. The tranche involved the issuance of 1,030,000 units at CAD$0.15 per unit, generating gross proceeds of CAD$154,500. An additional 1,120,569 units were issued to settle CAD$168,085.35 in outstanding debt with arm's-length parties. Each unit consists of one common share and one-half of one share purchase warrant, with each whole warrant exercisable at CAD$0.25 per share for one year from issuance.

The shares and warrants from this tranche are subject to a hold period until November 21, 2026. Proceeds are intended to fund work program obligations on the M47 Concession in southeastern Türkiye, toward which the company has paid a total of US$800,000, as well as general corporate and working capital purposes.

The company holds an agreement to earn up to a 29% working interest in the M47 oil exploration block in the Cudi-Gabar petroleum province of southeastern Türkiye.
