Rare Earths Americas expands Georgia exploration to 408,000 acres
Rare Earths Americas, Inc. has established what it calls the Foothills Rare Earths District in Georgia, expanding its exploration footprint from the original Shiloh project to a total area of approximately 408,000 acres across five properties, according to a company press release.
The district incorporates the Shiloh property, the adjacent Liberty Peak property, and three additional exploration targets. The combined area excluding Shiloh totals approximately 386,000 acres, roughly 17.5 times larger than the original 22,000-acre Shiloh area.
Early drilling at Liberty Peak has intercepted monazite-bearing sands, with mineralized intercepts up to 10 meters wide. The property is located more than 50 kilometers from Shiloh. Drilling highlights at Liberty Peak include hole 26-DPWB-033, which returned greater than 0.3% total rare earth oxides (TREO) from 4.5 to 7.6 meters and 10.7 to 11.8 meters. Recent Shiloh drilling returned 0.95% TREO from 8.6 to 11.5 meters in hole 26-SRLC-020.
The company plans over 8,000 meters of drilling at Liberty Peak in 2026, with more than 2,000 meters completed in the second quarter. At Shiloh, over 4,600 meters were drilled in the second quarter, with diamond drilling underway to assess bedrock enrichment. Assay results are pending.
Airborne radiometric and magnetic surveys covering more than 260,000 acres are planned for the second half of 2026 across Targets 1, 2, and 3.
As of the end of the second quarter of 2026, the company's active land position totaled 4,254 acres under formal agreements, a 53% increase over the first quarter. Total land including short-term access and exploration agreements exceeded 11,500 acres.
The company said it expects to invest approximately $15 million in its 2026 Georgia exploration program. CEO Donald Swartz said the results "continue to strengthen our district-scale exploration thesis" as the company works toward a maiden resource at Shiloh.
The extent, continuity, and economic significance of mineralization across the district have not yet been established and remain subject to further drilling and technical studies.
