KLA Corp posts Q4 beat, shares tumble amid underwhelming guidance
Investing.com -- KLA Corporation shares dropped 10% on Tuesday after the company issued guidance that fell short of expectations, even as it reported fourth-quarter results that exceeded analyst estimates.
The semiconductor equipment maker reported fourth-quarter earnings per share of $1.05, beating the analyst estimate of $1.00. Revenue reached $3.66 billion for the quarter, compared to the consensus estimate of $3.6 billion.
For the full fiscal year ended June 30, 2026, the company reported GAAP net income of $4.83 billion and GAAP diluted earnings per share of $3.66 on total revenues of $13.58 billion.
The company's outlook appears to have disappointed investors. KLA sees first-quarter earnings per share of $1.06 to $1.26, compared to the consensus of $1.13. The company projects fiscal 2027 revenue of $3.8 billion to $4.2 billion, versus the consensus estimate of $3.91 billion.
"KLA's June quarter results reinforce that the trends driving our growth are strengthening, and we see momentum across our business accelerating in the second half of calendar 2026 and continuing through 2027," said Rick Wallace, president and CEO of KLA Corporation.
