Rodeo at the Racetrack and Sam Houston Race Park have announced a partnership to host a three-day Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) rodeo event at Sam Houston Race Park in Houston, Texas, on November 5–7, 2026.

Sam Houston Race Park is operated by Penn Entertainment Inc. (NASDAQ: PENN) and is located approximately 15 miles northwest of downtown Houston.

The event will open Thursday evening with a Camp Hope Gala at the Jockey Club at Sam Houston, including dinner, a silent auction, and fundraising activities for Camp Hope, a program of the Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder Foundation of America that serves military veterans and their families affected by combat-related PTSD. A barrel racing exhibition and live music will follow the gala.

PRCA rodeo performances on Friday and Saturday will begin at 7:00 p.m. and will include eight events: saddle bronc riding, bareback riding, steer wrestling, tie-down roping, team roping, barrel racing, breakaway roping, and bull riding. Saturday's schedule also includes a Camp Hope BBQ Cook-Off, a vendor village, PRCA contestant meet-and-greets, mechanical bulls, and family activities.

Rodeo at the Racetrack was co-founded by Kip Rakos and Ted Slathar. Slathar, owner of Extreme Events MN and a rodeo producer with more than 15 years of experience, also serves on the PRCA Board of Directors representing the Great Lakes Region. The organization developed its concept from PRCA rodeo events previously held at Canterbury Park in Shakopee, Minnesota.

Bryan Pettigrew, Vice President and General Manager of Racing Operations in Texas, said the partnership allows Sam Houston Race Park to introduce a rodeo experience to guests while supporting Camp Hope's mission.

General admission tickets start at $25 and go on sale August 1, with reserved, premium, and VIP seating options also available.
