Truist names John Stucker as middle market sales leader
Truist Financial Corporation (NYSE: TFC) announced that John Stucker has joined the company as Middle Market Sales Leader, a newly created position focused on growth and sales execution within its middle market banking business.
Stucker comes from JPMorgan Chase, where he spent more than 25 years in commercial banking. His most recent title there was managing director and national head of multinational corporations, a role in which he led teams serving U.S. subsidiaries of foreign-owned companies. He also previously led JPMorgan Chase's beverage industry group and worked in debt capital markets.
In his new role, Stucker will oversee Truist's middle market growth strategy, with a focus on client relationships and market penetration.
Jodie Hughes, Truist's head of commercial banking, said the role is "critical to advancing our middle market growth strategy—helping us capture more share, expand across deposits, payments, and loans, and deliver a more consistent, differentiated experience for our clients."
According to a statement based on the company's second quarter earnings, Truist reported that middle market deposits grew 12% year over year, with 9% growth in legacy markets and 27% growth in expansion markets including Texas, Pennsylvania, and Ohio.
Truist's middle market banking business operates within its Wholesale Banking segment, which serves commercial, corporate, institutional, and high-net-worth clients across the U.S.
