Lotus Tech signs MOU with Finloop and FOMO Pay on vehicle tokenization
Lotus Technology Inc. (Nasdaq: LOT) has signed a non-binding memorandum of understanding with Finloop Finance Technology Holding Limited and FOMO Pay to explore digital asset and real-world asset tokenization in the luxury vehicle sector, according to a press release dated July 28, 2026.
The three parties plan to pursue technical cooperation in asset issuance, tokenization, and distribution, as well as compliant operating models for digital-asset payment services. They also intend to explore integration into the Web3 ecosystem and tokenomics models. The specific scope, terms, and conditions remain subject to negotiation and execution of definitive agreements.
Under the planned arrangement, Finloop would contribute its real-world asset tokenization platform, which it describes as a one-stop RWA technology, issuance, and distribution platform. FOMO Pay, a payment institution licensed in Singapore, Hong Kong, and the Middle East, would provide digital payment and on-chain settlement capabilities. Lotus Tech has operations across the UK, the European Union, and China, and focuses on luxury electric vehicles.
Lotus Tech Chief Financial Officer Dr. Daxue Wang said the collaboration is intended to explore "compliant on-chain payment solutions for vehicle purchases to expand our customer base."
FOMO Pay Co-Founder Zack Yang said the partnership "reflects our continued commitment to advancing payment infrastructure for real-world assets."
Finloop Chief Executive Officer Cai Hua said the company would "leverage our self-developed RWA platform and tokenization capabilities to help Lotus Tech deliver efficient, compliant, and scalable RWA solutions."
The MOU is non-binding, and no definitive agreements have been reached as of the announcement date.
