Market Technology Acquisition Corp, a special purpose acquisition company (SPAC) incorporated as a Cayman Islands exempted company, closed its initial public offering of 20,500,000 units at $10.00 per unit, raising gross proceeds of $205,000,000, according to a press release.

The IPO includes 500,000 units issued through a partial exercise of the underwriters' over-allotment option. Units began trading on the Nasdaq Global Market under the ticker symbol NASDAQ: MTAKU on July 24, 2026. Each unit consists of one Class A ordinary share and one-half of one redeemable warrant, with each whole warrant exercisable to purchase one Class A ordinary share at $11.50 per share.

Once units separate, ordinary shares and warrants are expected to trade on Nasdaq under the symbols NASDAQ: MTAK and NASDAQ: MTAKW, respectively.

The company stated it intends to use net proceeds from the offering and simultaneous private placements to complete an initial business combination and fund working capital. The company's primary focus is businesses operating in the global capital markets ecosystem, including licensed U.S. equities and options clearing businesses, market infrastructure, and post-trade, brokerage, custody, execution, and financial technology platforms.

BTIG, LLC served as sole book-running manager for the offering. The SEC declared the registration statement effective on July 23, 2026.

The company's management team includes CEO Jonathan Slone and CFO and COO Christopher Hayes.
