Datavault AI signs Darryl Strawberry as NIL platform ambassador
Datavault AI Inc. (NASDAQ: DVLT) announced that former Major League Baseball player Darryl Strawberry has signed a services agreement, dated June 23, 2026, to serve as a brand ambassador for the company's name, image, and likeness exchange platform, NIL Vault (NILv).
Under the agreement, Strawberry will create and deliver original promotional and marketing content, participate in promotional activity supporting the platform, and share in revenue attributed to that content. Datavault AI will provide platform onboarding, activity tracking and attribution, and revenue share reporting and payment administration.
Strawberry was the first overall selection of the 1980 amateur draft, won the National League Rookie of the Year award in 1983, and was named to eight consecutive All-Star teams from 1984 through 1991. He hit 335 home runs across 17 major league seasons and won four World Series titles with the 1986 New York Mets and the 1996, 1998, and 1999 New York Yankees.
"Darryl Strawberry is one of the most recognizable athletes of his era, and he is candid about a career in which the money and the fame came and went while the name stayed his," said Nathaniel T. Bradley, CEO of Datavault AI. "That is precisely the problem NIL Vault is built to solve."
The company states NILv is intended to serve public figures outside the collegiate system, where most NIL infrastructure has been directed. According to an Opendorse report published in July 2025, NIL market spending is projected at $2.75 billion in 2025-26 and $3.15 billion by 2028-29.
Datavault AI said the platform has not yet launched commercially. Additional ambassador and content agreements are expected to be announced as the platform advances.
