PRF Technologies raises $10M and updates progress on biotech and energy
PRF Technologies Ltd. (Nasdaq: PRFX), an Israel-based company with biotechnology and AI-driven energy operations, issued a shareholder letter from Interim Chief Executive Officer Efraim Cohen-Arazi outlining first-half 2026 developments.
On May 28, 2026, the company raised $10 million through its equity line facility, which it said strengthened its balance sheet and provides capital to support its existing businesses and potential strategic opportunities.
In its biotechnology segment, majority-owned subsidiary LayerBio, Inc. is advancing preparations for a planned Phase 2 clinical trial of OcuRing-K, a sustained-release anti-inflammatory implant designed for placement on the intraocular lens during cataract surgery. In June 2026, the company reported expanded preclinical results for PRF-110, its lead product candidate, showing sustained 72-hour analgesic activity comparable to an approved extended-release benchmark, along with slower systemic absorption and greater retention at the surgical site.
In its renewable energy segment, subsidiary DeepSolar validated its Predict platform using real-world European market data, expanded the platform with a Battery-to-Revenue Intelligence module, joined the Nvidia Connect program, and announced plans to showcase its GridFeed platform at Energy Trading Week Europe 2026.
The shareholder letter also stated the company is evaluating strategic opportunities that may include partnerships, licensing arrangements, investments, and acquisitions of complementary technologies or companies.
