Lightspeed links retail POS data to Meta ad platform

Lightspeed Commerce Inc. (NYSE: LSPD) has launched an integration between its Lightspeed Retail point-of-sale system and Meta's Conversions API, allowing brick-and-mortar retailers to send in-store transaction data directly to Meta's advertising platform.

The integration automatically syncs in-store product catalogs and point-of-sale transactions with Meta, enabling retailers to measure how Facebook and Instagram ads influence physical store purchases. The company said no online store or complex setup is required.

Previously, digital ad campaigns for physical retailers were often optimized around online actions such as clicks or website visits, leaving in-store purchases underrepresented in performance data. The new integration is designed to close that gap by routing offline sales signals to Meta.

Features include automatic POS transaction syncing, server-side Meta Conversions API support, and offline catalog creation for retailers without an ecommerce presence.

"Retailers have always known that online ads influence what happens inside their stores, but they didn't necessarily have a clear way to measure it," said Dax Dasilva, founder and chief executive officer of Lightspeed. "With this integration, we're finally closing that gap."

The integration is available to both offline-only and omnichannel Lightspeed Retail merchants. Omnichannel retailers already advertising on Meta technologies gain a unified view of in-store and online transaction data, which Lightspeed said can improve campaign reporting accuracy.

Lightspeed Commerce, founded in Montreal in 2005, operates in over 100 countries. The announcement is based on a company press release dated July 24, 2026.
