Ally Financial names new auto finance and investor relations heads
Ally Financial Inc. (NYSE: ALLY) announced leadership changes in its investor relations and auto finance consumer servicing operations, according to a company statement.
Sean Leary, who previously served as Ally's Chief Financial Planning and Investor Relations Officer, has been named Head of Consumer Servicing Operations for the Auto Finance business. In the new role, Leary will report to Doug Timmerman, President of Dealer Financial Services. Leary joined Ally in 2008 and has held roles spanning finance, balance sheet management, capital management, and procurement.
Dan Ignacio, Executive Director of Investor Relations and Corporate FP&A, will assume leadership of investor relations, reporting to Chief Financial Officer Russ Hutchinson. Ignacio has spent more than 11 years at Ally, working within the CFO Group across auto and corporate financial planning and analysis, as well as two separate stints in investor relations.
"I've worked closely with Sean throughout my time in the CFO organization and have great respect for how he leads – with discipline, partnership, and genuine care for the people around him," Hutchinson said. "He leaves Investor Relations in excellent hands with Dan, who leads a strong, experienced team well-positioned to continue delivering for our investors and the analyst community."
Leary's transition to the new role is expected to take place over the next few weeks. Ally Financial reported $200 billion in assets and 9.6 million customers as of June 30, 2026.
